We built our new online application process with our clients in mind. We wanted to transform how you can invest in the Allan Gray Funds, which meant creating a paperless and seamless online investing process.
Today, the entire process takes place online, with no paper forms or signatures needed as client details are verified via Australian government resources. It’s significantly quicker and easier. Gone are the days of printing a document, signing it, then finding a stamp to post it to us with supporting identification documents before an investment was made.
Which client types can use the new process?
Almost any investor can use the new service, including individuals, sole traders, joint holders, companies, trusts with individual trustees and trusts with corporate trustees (including self-managed super funds). Some foreign investors can also use this process, although original documentation will need to be provided. At the end of the online process, we will explain the final requirements and next steps to complete your investment.
What do clients need to complete the process?
A valid email address and mobile phone number for each account holder/signatory. An Australian Company Number (ACN) is required for companies and corporate trustees (if you would like us to use details from the ASIC website to prepopulate the company details onto the application form).
How long does the online investing process take?
This depends on the complexity of the client and the Electronic Verification result. An individual Australian resident who passes Electronic Verification could be as quick as 10 minutes.
Can you continue to use the paper application process?
Clients who prefer to use the paper application form may continue to do so, but you will need to post the original paperwork to our unit registry in order to begin the account setup.
Our Client Services Team are always ready and willing to assist, so if you would like to understand the process in more detail or have any questions, please call us on 1300 604 604 or [email protected].
