Managing Director and Chief Investment OfficerSimon joined Allan Gray in 2006 as an analyst. Before this, he was at Alliance Bernstein, Macquarie Bank and Deloitte and Touche. Simon has a Bachelor of Business Science with First Class Honours (majoring in Finance and Business Strategy) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting from the University of Cape Town. Simon was a Chartered Accountant and is a CFA Charterholder.

Chief Operating OfficerJD de Lange joined Allan Gray Australia in 2010 as Head of Retail. Previously, JD spent nine years with Allan Gray in South Africa (AGL), the largest privately-owned South African investment company that was started by Orbis’ and Allan Gray’s founder, Dr Allan W.B Gray. JD holds a B. Proc Degree (University of Pretoria).

Head of MarketingDominique joined Allan Gray in 2018 as Head of Marketing with over 20 years financial services experience. Previously she was a National Marketing Manager, Platforms and Investments, at IOOF and has held a variety of Product and Marketing roles over her career with Rothschild, Advance, Zurich and BT Financial Group. Dominique holds a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University.

Head of Adviser DistributionLJ joined Allan Gray Australia in April 2015 as a Relationship Manager before being appointed Head of Adviser Distribution in 2020. Prior to this, LJ spent 10 years in a variety of roles with Allan Gray in South Africa where he was responsible for the promotion and distribution of the Australian funds. LJ holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours – Stellenbosch University), a MBA (University of Cape Town) and has a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning in South Africa.

Head of LegalElizabeth joined Allan Gray in 2014 and is responsible for the legal, compliance and secretariat functions of the business. Prior to joining, Elizabeth was a Senior Associate in the funds management and financial services practice of Allens Linklaters. Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws from the University of New South Wales and is admitted to practise in New South Wales and the High Court of Australia.

Analyst and Portfolio ManagerSuhas joined Allan Gray as an analyst in 2011 and has been a Portfolio Manager since 2016. Prior to this, Suhas spent five years at McKinsey & Co, leaving as an Engagement Manager. He has a Bachelor of Science with Honours from the California Institute of Technology and holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics from Stanford University.

AnalystTim joined Allan Gray in 2014 as an analyst. He has held roles at Origin Energy, Ernst & Young and PwC. Tim has a Bachelor of Business Science, with a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting from the University of Cape Town and is a CFA Charterholder and Chartered Accountant.

Responsible Investing AnalystStephanie joined Allan Gray in 2022 as our Responsible Investing Analyst. Previously, Stephanie worked as a commercial litigation solicitor and an academic researcher. Stephanie holds a Master of Science in Law and Finance (with Distinction) from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons I) from the Queensland University of Technology, where she graduated first in her class. She is currently completing a PhD.
